A group of Humboldt County residents, concerned about the negative affect the new Humboldt County General Plan may have with regard to the rights of its citizens, launched a public information campaign this week via Internet and television mediums. The new website was designed by Stroop Effects Studios, an advertising agency in Eureka.

The language used by the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors to draft a new General Plan has been distilled by Humboldt Future with the hope to inform the general public while, at the same time, encouraging the public to take a more active role in the General Plan Update process. Supervisorial meeting dates and times are posted on the Humboldt Future website whenever the county publishes new meetings or changes previously scheduled meetings and hearings.
